Reading Upload and Download Values
Upload represents data leaving your computer, while download represents data arriving. Short spikes are normal when apps synchronize, refresh or transfer files.
Choose the Correct Unit
Kilobits, kilobytes, megabits and megabytes are different measurements. Use a unit that matches how you normally interpret connection activity.
Keep the Meter Readable
A small taskbar space can cause values to feel crowded. Simplify formatting and avoid overly long labels if your build lets you customize the display.
Use the Meter as a Signal, Not a Speed Test
The taskbar reading shows current throughput. It does not replace a controlled broadband benchmark and should not be interpreted as your maximum line speed.
